Therapy provides an opportunity to talk to a trained professional in a confidential space in order to work through your concerns. These concerns can often leave you feeling isolated in your life and feeling unable to share them with family, friends or colleagues. Counselling is confidential. This means that what we talk about will remain secret between us. There are a few reasons why I might need to break confidentiality. I will explain more about these when we meet for the first time.

Talking to me as your counsellor may be easier, I am not here to tell you what to do, I do not give you concrete advice or a checklist of things to do to feel better. As your counsellor I help you uncover your own insights and understanding of your problems, providing you with the tools to help you resolve them on your own.

I am a humanistic counsellor. I am predominantly Person-Centred in my approach, although I have also trained in Gestalt, Transactional Analysis counselling and CBT, integrating elements of these approaches in my work. My integrated approach enables me to develop a deep understanding of psychological issues that affect people in their day-to-day lives in the workplace and at home.
